A Large beautifully painted barrel form Famille Rose Lidded Jar. (Ginger jar) A 4 character Qianlong mark to the base, but could be later. To one side a finely painted reserve depicting figures in an Imperial court scene. The Emperor surrounded by court officials and ladies, the other side is painted with a bouquet containing a multitide of fruit and flowers. The borders are gilded and decorated with fruit, flowers and auspicious symbols. The top and bottom of the jar again beautifully enameled with flowers and symbols. The lid with it amber coloured finial sits snugly with in the jars aperture. It measures approximately 26cm high. (Does not include height of finial) 29.5cm high inclusive of the finial. Approximately 19cm diameter across the top. Jar opening aperture is approximately 9cm diameter. Please view the photos carefully as they are a vital part of the description.
