Pair of Chinese octagonal famille rose plates, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated to the centre with a leaf-shaped cartouche containing a scroll with gnarled branches, peony, prunus and a perching bird, against a red scroll ground with bamboo, peony and prunus to the rim, diameter: 21.8cm 8 5/8in. , condition: one with chip and fritting to rim, the other with fritting.
