A rare Chinese porcelain teapot, c. Hand painted to both sides, in fencai, or famille rose enamels, with a repeated, unusual scene of a cockerel , perched upon rocks, being pursued by a yellow cat. The cockerel, beneath an oversized flowering plant, the cat beneath a large pomegranite. The lightly domed cover, painted with sprigs of flowering plants, and having a knop finial, painted with a flower head. 10 cm, 3 7/8. 13 cm, 5 1/8. 9 cm, 3 1/2.
