A pair of Batavian ware cafe-au-lait-ground Famille Rose jars and covers. Both jars and lids painted to the exterior with three white leaf-shaped reserves with flowers on a chocolate brown glaze ground. Rare as a pair. Bowls: height – 3,9 / 3,6 cm, diameter – 5,4 / 5,3 cm. Weight – 47 / 43 g. Bowls with covers: height – 6 / 5,7 cm, diameter – 5,7 / 5,8 cm. Weight – 83 / 86 g. Bowls in good condition. One with small chips to the foot-rim, one with two hairlines to the wall (almost invisible from outside). One cover with very small chip to the edge, and chips to the internal rim, other with chip to the edge and small chip to the internal rim. All with minor firing faults (to include firing cracks), mostly inside. Painted decor in very good condition. Check pictures for details. UV and strong white light tested.
