Hello and welcome to. Good condition but there are several chips around the border. Also please note that the face of the lady on the right is crossed by what seems to be a very deep scratch. The item is offered original as is as found. As you can see in the photos showing the reverse side of the plate there are like miniature holes and their effect can be also seen on the painted area. The painting shows a man giving a woman a’piggyback’ – that is the English term for giving somebody a’ride’ on your back. They are having a good time and 3 other people are watching in a courtyard. The handle portrays a dragon eating its tail. Very good condition, some slight frits to the rim. Good gilding, some slight paint losses. No hairlines, no restoration. It has small and flea bite chips at the rim, dark spots, rubbing of gold and paint, skip glazes, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos). Some of the photos were taken under the sun.
