Antique Qianlong Chinese Teapot Famille Verte Handpainted Qing

Featured here is a gorgeous antique Chinese handpainted teapot. In a rudimentary effort to translate the characters on the underside, we believe they are these characters: meaning something like “made in a dry and prosperous year”, but this mark is more commonly associated with the Qianlong period, made in the mid to late 1700’s of the Qing dynasty. In good condition for its age, but does have a chip on the spout, gold fade, roughness on the lid, and spots of wear. See pictures for closer detail. A Chinese rare large Canton famille rose + gilt teapot and cover 18th C Qianlong

A very rare large famille rose and gilt teapot and cover. It dates to the Qianlong emperor’s reign during to Qing Dynasty in the 18th Century. It is finely enamelled with three figurative scenes (all different) to the two sides and cover, and also detailed in gilt. The handle and spout are very well preserved. There is a little damage to the rim, but this would be easy to restore as it doesn’t extend over the painted areas. The size is exceptionally large: 21cm high and 28cm long.
