Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Vase with Women enjoying Spring in the Garden Hand Painted. For your consideration is this handsomely painted vase depicting a group of young traditionally dressed women spending their time together in the Chinese garden. Three women are sitting at the table plying a board game. The forth one is standing nearby and watching the game. The rest of the company is having conversation in one form or another. Two women are sitting at the window of a nearby home and watching the action from the above. All together there are thirteen women present, which has a corresponding parallel with the Chinese lucky number of 13. There is a poem written on the opposite wall of the vase. The vase shows nice detailing, rich palette of colors, and good color shading. Women are in different poses and have different face expressions. No cracks, repairs or hairlines. Being marked with Qianlong mark on the bottom, this vase was however made in the 20th century, during the Republic period as we believe. Approximate height: 12 inches, diameter of the base and the top 3 1/2 inches respectively. Approximate weight: 1 lb 11 oz or 750g. Thank you for watching.
