Chinese Famille Rose Coral Red Ground Vase Qianlong mark Republic 24 Inches. Large, impressive and finely decorated Chinese porcelain vase. About 24 inches tall (61 cm), and about 10 inches wide (it is big). Made in China during the Republic Period. Apocryphal iron-red six-character Qianlong seal mark. Finely decorated fields, with figures in outdoor settings. Note the gold highlights in the women’s hair, and the very fine detail, like the bottle lid, the fingers, trees, the facial expressions etc. The famille rose decoration is much finer than average. It is in very good condition, with three kiln firing cracks visible on the interior (please see the photos). These cracks do not show on the exterior, with one exception – there is a shadow of a crack in the lowest field on the side (please see the blue arrow in that photo). This appears to be from the interior kiln crack that is just below the exterior surface at that location. Please note I cleaned the interior prior to taking the photos to look for any other kiln cracks on the inside (the interior base was quite dirty before I cleaned it). This is a beautiful and impressive antique Chinese porcelain vase.
