Chinese famille rose armorial salt, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated with the arms of Bennet (gules a bezant between three demi lions argent, with the crest a demi lion argent holding in its paws a bezant), within a chain border, diameter 3 1/4 in. The bezant in the lion’s paws indicate that this salt was probably made for the Bennet family of Finsbury in London, a merchant family of the later 18th century. Old Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain Plate Qianlong Mandarin Pattern 1780
Hello and welcome to. Good condition but there are several chips around the border. Also please note that the face of the lady on the right is crossed by what seems to be a very deep scratch. The item is offered original as is as found. As you can see in the photos showing the reverse side of the plate there are like miniature holes and their effect can be also seen on the painted area.
