Decorated with two oval-shaped panels depicting a scholar and boy in garden scenes. The narrow ends with low relief foo lion head handles and scrolling foliate designs in underglaze blue with gilt accents. The cover with multi-color floral designs and gilt knob finial. Underside of cover, interior of pot and foot are covered in turquoise enamel. The inner rim of the cover and mouth rim of pot with a small notch to accept a tiny spoon (not included).
