Antique Chinese Qing Dy Qianlong Reign Mark Famille Verte Noire Glaze Chargers

Wires attached to back for hanging! One Charger has a glaze flake on the verso and does not go threw to front and just above that there is a slight hairline which is unseen on the front(done during the firing and manufacturing process). Where someone placed the wire hanging on the back there is a wear spot of the glaze which makes it look like a chip(Please look at pictures) I do not care for those wire hanging because in time they will disrupt the porcelain as you can see, minus these minor things mentioned -you will not or be very hard to find another pair like them.. Antique Collectibles from ShangriLa. 3500 “Make us an offer” Listings/. Antique 18C Famille Rose Tea Dish with Peter the Great Meissen Style Qianlong. Lovely 18th century dish with a Meissen style decoration of Peter the Great of Russia. In the front There is a woman holding a baby. (Possibly) depecting the undercover trip of Peter Peter the Great to the Netherlands. Really cool and detailed pieces. Pictures in natural light have been added. Trip of Peter the Great Peter had met the Zaandam blacksmith and craftsman Gerrit Kist when Kist had worked for the tsar in Moscow. Upon visiting the Zaanstreek, Peter insisted on staying with Kist in his home, despite Kist’s protests that his house was a mere hovel, shared with the widow of one of his workers. The widow was paid to move out, and Peter spent a week as Kist’s houseguest. The tsar was traveling incognito under the name Peter Michaeloff. And while Kist did not reveal his guest’s identity it did not take long for Peter to be recognized, making his observations difficult. Peter wanted to learn more about the Dutch shipbuilding industry, and with this knowledge (and other knowledge acquired during the Grand Embassy) begin a period of modernization and growth in Russia. At this time, the Dutch Republic was one of the most developed countries in the world. Although he remained at the house only a short time, he would return a number of times, the last in 1717. Antique Qianlong /Jiaqing Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Hand Painted Dish

Fine Antiques & Jewellery. Chinese Famille Rose Dish. A late 18th or early 19th century Chinese porcelain hand painted shaped dish in the famille rose pallette. It is of ovoid form with protrusions around the rim and a decorative border with gilt. It is hand painted with floral motifs over the plain white ground. The body is porcelain and quite thick with a yellow tint to the translucency. There are no character or reign marks and the ground is a little rippled as often found with pieces from this period. Normal period wear, slight losses to enamels and gilt rubbing. Slight production flaws as usual with some small glaze pops. Some discolouration to the underside through aging.
