The bowl is beautifully decorated with two panels of figure scenes alternating with two magenta border panels. The design is hand painted over-glaze with rich polychrome enamels of green, red, pink, burnt orange, blue and magenta all in varying shades. The inner bowl has a hand painted border around the rim and a motif to the inner base. The tea bowl is unmarked to the base F200.
This fabulous example dates to around c1790, Qianlong Period. The hair is raised in an elaborate style & covered with a high head dress. She has finely shaped eyes looking downward. She also has large lobed ears, with a small incision through the porcelain on each side.
Size 13.5 cm height to top of lid and 19 cm wide from handle to spout. This teapot is antique condition with old repair on handle and some chips on spout/lid. Please see all photos for more detailed.
