Antique Chinese Famille Rose Planter Double Handled With Qianlong Apocryphal Mark Having Court Scenes and Butterflies. Chinese Famille Rose square planter with 2 handles having stunning painting and enamel around, on the front is a Cartouche with a Court Scene on the back the same scene but in reverse (like a mirror image), on the sides Cartouches of flying butterflies and birds also in reverse (like a mirror image), on the bottom the Apocryphal Mark Seal of Emperor Qianlong (but we believe this piece is 19th Century). A very impressive piece that will make a collector very happy! The piece measures approx. 8 (20cm) high x approx. 6″ (15cm) x 6-3/4″ (17cm) Square at the top x appro. 5-1/2 (14cm) Square at the bottom. This piece is in very good condition for it’s age. FINE OLD CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN VASE QIANLONG MARKED 41CM (623). Very fine Chinese Famille Rose vase, Painted with. Marked on the bottom. It will be a very nice collection. Famille-rose porcelain is also called Fencai or Ruancai (meaning’soft colors’), and later as Yangcai (meaning’foreign colors’), one of the Jingdezhen kiln of the four traditional porcelains, the treasures of Chinese traditional porcelain craft with pastel porcelain varieties as main decorative techniques. It is a kind of glaze (painted in the porcelain body) by low-temperature sintering method. It was introduced during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor, possibly around 1720. It used mainly pink or purple and remained popular throughout the 18th and the 19th centuries. By the time of the reign of Yongzheng in the Qing dynasty, these shades were favored over the translucent famille verte (five-colored ware) overglaze colors that were previously used. Famille rose porcelain reached a climax of perfection at. Jingdezhen, and continued with great delicacy through the Qianlong period. In good condition, with no damage or restoration.
