HUGE Chinese Charger Blue & White Scholar’s Porcelain Qing Period 19th C. Scholar & Children’ Blue & White Porcelain Charger. Unmarked on the base, Qing Period (Late 19th Century). (The Stand is not included). Finely potted, of elegantly curving charger form, the steep, gently flaring sides sweeping to an everted rim, all supported on a slightly splayed base, the interior superbly enameled with a scene featuring the scholar’s in the room watching children plays, all surrounded by varying diaper border as Buddhist symbols. FAIR – OLD crack (28CM WIDE) in the middle of the border and the base, 1CM x chip on the reverse top rim with hairline (4CM), also X-shape crack on the top border (9CM WIDE), with some enamel loss, scratches and wear. Large Rare Chinese Export White Famille Rose Gu Vase Qianlong Period (1736-1795)

An exceptionally large and rare Chinese export white famille rose’gu’ vase, exemplary of Chinese export decoration wares catered to the European market taste. The age of the vase can be dated to Qianlong period as the decorative motifs and styles are stereotypical of the period. The form of the vase,’Gu’ form for vases with wide top rim and foot with slender body is originated from archaic Gu vessel which were designed and used for wine drinking. Vase like this usually come in pairs with additional complementary pair of lidded jars making a full set. Garnitures set like these were extremely popular in Europe and the stylistic designs of export wares were often manufactured to the taste of European market by Canton workshops commissioned by the East India Company. The manufacturing process of this kind of vase is multi-stepped and complex. Such famille rose decorations often utilizes imported European color pigments and materials, giving these export wares a unique and distinguishable look. Overall Height: 18 inch / 45.7 cm. Provenance: A private collection in Spain.

Collectable VINTAGE Chinese Quinlong set of 3 Small Rice Bowls. Late Quin Dynasty Porcelain in traditional. Blue and White Pattern. 3.5″ diameter x 2.5″ high. Design looks like group of 4 monks enjoying music. With traditional solid blue ring/band inside bowl. And signed on underside of each. Very fine porcelain hand painted. Blue & White Porcelain Plate. Marked on the base under-glazed Chenghua An Apocryphal. Mark, Kangxi Period (1662 – 1722). Decorated with blossoming foliage sprouting peony, within a formalised and partitioned border containing diaper and crane, with subsidiary bands of hatching. The reverse with an apocryphal Chenghua mark. FAIR -Visible damage, a significant part of the rim- repaired and putty applied, with light scratches; otherwise, it is in fair condition.
